Truganina CFA New Station & Volunteer Emergency Services Equipment Program (VESEP) Grant
We provided the CFA with $3.75 million to acquire land and build a new home for our local volunteers at Truganina CFA.

They deserve the very best and I’m proud to be able to deliver this for them - and with designs now complete I can’t wait to see construction shortly start on these brand new facilities.
In the meantime, it has also been a pleasure to deliver another $38,080 to match the $19,040 raised by the brigade to extend storage facilities through the Volunteer Emergency Services Equipment Program (VESEP) Grant.

Truganina CFA are a hardworking and dedicated bunch of volunteers - always there and ready to put others first in a crisis.

Penrose Community Garden - TSRB
Works on a new community garden at Penrose Community Centre are getting started thanks to $75,000 from the Victorian Government - giving locals of all ages a place to come and celebrate their green thumb together. 
The project will use under-utilised parkland to create a community garden.

This is a great local project supported by the local Pasifika Community who will use the garden to grow food - and I can't wait to get back out there again with Shaun Leane MP to see the see everything fully grown.  🍅🍓🥕

Did you know Major Road Projects Victoria & Ecodynamics have just donated over 200 plants to Truganina South Primary School?

Year 6 students will have the opportunity to plant their own tree as part of the School’s 10th anniversary celebrations 👏👏👏
I had the pleasure of visiting the Tarneit P-9 College with Wyndham Mayor Cr Adele Hegedich where 14 advanced trees were planted as part of our Government’s More Trees for a Cooler Greener West initiative - providing more shade and helping to cool the school.

Because every community needs cool green spaces - and the seeds of a green future need to be planted today.
We're holding the line against COVID-19 - that's why we're increasing home and community care options to keep our critical care beds ready for those who need them most.

We're also boosting Ambulance Victoria capacity, funding Aboriginal health services to provide more care, and supporting patients with a disability.

Let there be light! We have officially completed the Wooten Road Reserve Lighting Project. It was so rewarding visiting the home of the Titans in a ceremony to unveil the new lights. 

Players and spectators can now enjoy this facility in the evening, allowing for more community engagement as we come out of lockdown.

Truganina will soon have a 10-hectare sports precinct - thanks to a $3 million investment from our Government's Community Sports Infrastructure Stimulus Program.

The precinct will be close to Garrang Wilam Primary School and once complete, it will feature multiple soccer pitches with a cricket oval, tennis courts and a sports pavilion.

Funding Boost for Wyndham Tech School
Wyndham Tech School will share in $4.18 million through the 2021-22 Tech School Equipment Renewal Fund, upgrading their learning space with an Australian-first Esports Arena and production studio.

It's so important to provide secondary students with the vital skills needed to succeed in the STEM industry.
