EXTRA LEARNING SPACE FOR TARNEIT RISE PRIMARY SCHOOL

Tarneit Rise Primary School students will soongeta newstate-of-the-art, double-storey relocatable classroom to meet growing student enrolments.
Member for Tarneit Sarah Connolly today announced the modern double-storey relocatable building wouldoffer flexibility to manage enrolment growth.
The relocatable building includesdouble-glazed windows, improved thermal insulation to reduce heat loss, acoustic insulation to reduce internal noise reverberation, and is built to an energy efficient design.
This is the fifth double-storey relocatable classroom that the school has received since 2019 as part of the Victorian Governments Relocatable Building Program.
The Victorian Government isinvesting$114.5 million todeliver modernrelocatable school buildingsto schools across the state.This willprovide an additional 12,775 spaces for Victorian studentsforthe 2021 school yearensuring all students can access to a great local government school.
It is anticipated the 2020-21 Relocatable Building Program will createmore than 200 jobsin manufacturing and related industries.
This investment forms part of the more than $1.18 billion investment in education infrastructure projects that will create thousands of jobs across the state and kickstart Victorias economy.
In the past five years, the Labor Government has invested more than $9 billion in more than 1,600 school upgrades creating more than 10,000 construction jobs and is now ahead of schedule of its commitment to open 100 new schools by 2026, with 48 new schools opening between 2019 and 2022.
The Victorian Government is building the Education State so that every Victorian gets the opportunity for a great education and every community has access to a great school.
